Faint's Macabre Thoughts

goals for the new year

so it's almost february and i've spent the last month just kinda... brewing on what i want to accomplish in 2025. it's not a long list, but some of the stuff is very multi-step/complicated so it'll take a fair bit of effort.

so, not a lot of goals, but a decent number and variety of them. there are a ton of smaller goals that i have like cleaning out my stuff in preparation for potentially moving out this summer and finally finishing some of the games in my steam library, but those are so much more distant than the four that i listed here. these four are the big four.

i'm already making progress on some of them. i've been actually talking in the discords that i'm in and answering my snaps instead of just leaving them there. small steps, y'know? and i got the ingredients to make cajun pasta tonight.

the only other goal oriented thing i'm working on right now is finally actually world building for my universe my original fiction takes place in. i've already figured a bunch of stuff out about ghouls that i never really figured out before and i'm in the process of writing out the rules for necromancy because the doc i had them in mysteriously disappeared. probably about two distro hops ago sigh. the side effects of linux.

but even this blog is the extension of an overall goal. i want a place to ramble. this is that place. the last time i coded a blog it was death note themed and involved iframes and it was just a bitch and a half to update. so i figured there was no shame in using an existing framework to spill my thoughts onto the internet. enter bearblog. it's tiny, easy to update, and it's so far away from anyone in my real life finding it.

updating the CSS (as someone who needs to have things customized at all times) was kinda a pain, but nothing that a few DDG searches couldn't fix. i went with a nice medieval forest-y theme for this one and i'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

anyways, it's just about time to go and make pasta so, uh, bye.
